Derivation and meaning
Plantible is a coinage that blends of plantable (suitable to be planted or denoting an area in which planting is possible) and edible (safe for eating). The name taken literally suggests green growing things, vegetables and fruits cultivated for us to enjoy. However, plant can also refer to a factory, placing an object surreptitiously in order to cause suspicion (planting evidence), or, metaphorically, to sew the seeds of an idea or movement, which gives this name a richer narrative if desired.
